What Causes Ear Wax

Ear Wax, also known by the medical term cerumen, is a waxy substance secreted in the ear canal of people.

Ear Wax protects the skin of the ear canal, assists in cleaning and lubrication, and provides protection against bacteria, fungi, and water, etc.

I only do home visits to customers to remove Ear Wax or check if Ear Wax is present.

Methods of Removing Ear Wax;

Micro-Suction;

Ear Wax Micro-suction is one of the safest methods to use to clean the ears. The person treating you looks at your ear using a microscope. The microscope magnifies the ear, making it easier to assess and treat. A suction device is used to clean the ear without the use of water.

Irrigation;

Irrigation Ear Wax Removal is a procedure where water at body temperature is injected into the ear by the irrigator, which controls the water pressure, to ensure that the ear can't be damaged. Under the gentle force of the water, the earwax is softened, dislodged and the wax is carried out of the ear.

Should I Do Anything Before Ear Wax Removal

We would recommend that you either buy ear drops or use olive oil to soften the wax a couple of times a day for five days before your microsuction or ear irrigation ear wax removal treatment. This will also make your ear wax removal more comfortable.
